Car Operating Panel (C.O.P.) Typical Features

1) Emergency Light

2) Car Light Switch

3) Position Indicator 
Position indicators will show the location of the elevator as it travels up and down the elevator shaft.

4) Floor Buttons 
The floor buttons will place a call to the desired floor when pushed.

5) Alarm button 
The alarm button will sound an alarm that is required to be audible from outside the elevator shaft for anybody that needs assistance. It is also powered by the battery to ensure that it remains active if there is a power failure.

6) Emergency Stop button 
The emergency stop button will stop the elevator immediately when activated. Most residential elevators will also sound the alarm whenever the stop button is pressed
